With our roots firmly planted in classic 2D animation, Lightstar Studios was founded in 2004 by a group of talented artists from around the world, united by a passion for this form of entertainment. Together, we bring many years of professional experience
working on numerous feature films, various TV series, commercials, and corporate projects. Over the years, Lightstar has been involved in numerous international productions, including co-productions and partnerships with channels such as Nickelodeon, Globosat, Cartoon Network, Discovery Kids, Cartoon Saloon, and Xilam. We’ve provided services for two Oscar nominations, won the Annecy Cristal Award, and received an Emmy Awards nomination for our own TV program, SOS Fairy Manu, in 2016.

Our expertise in the animation process, combined with a diverse range of designs and fluency in various media, makes Lightstar the studio of choice for both domestic and international markets. The company has been the preferred production house for many European and American companies in recent years, gaining credibility and integrity through its founders as Brazil’s leading animation studio.

We are also adept at training individuals in the specific aspects required for each production. Recognizing that no two productions are exactly alike, workshops at the outset of each project have become a standard practice here at Lightstar Studios, a practice we’ve adopted from our experience in major international studios.
